Anny Kyun,
Registered Acupuncturist
Anny is a registered acupuncturist who practices a unique Japanese acupuncture style called the Kiiko Matsumoto style of acupuncture (KMS). Her treatment consists of diagnosis through palpation, which provides instant feedback for the patient and practitioner. This method of palpation is mostly done on the abdomen and areas of the limbs where certain sensations or lack of reflexes can diagnose certain conditions of the body.
This style of acupuncture addresses the whole medical history to treat the root of each issue rather than just treating the symptoms. KMS Acupuncture needling methods are shallow and painless, using the smallest gauge needles. She is constantly upgrading her knowledge and skillset in order to achieve the best possible results for her patients.
Annyβs introduction to acupuncture and health can be traced back to her grandfather, a life-long acupuncturist, who passed down the knowledge he gained over the course of his career to her. A great deal of her practical experiences have come from working abroad, treating thousands of patients onboard luxury cruise ships.
She is currently registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia. She studied Chinese Medicine at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver (ICTCMV).
Anny also has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia with a major in Cell Biology and Genetics. The diverse range of her academic background has provided an advantage in understanding both Western and Eastern medicine.
